ETERNAL SAYINGS

To the one who meditates there doesn’t be the state of teaching. To the one who teaches meditation there doesn’t be the state of performance.

Exposition: - The one who performs meditation is still a practiser only. He doesn’t possess the competency and the practical experience to exhort the way of meditation to others. Where as, the individual, who exhorts the process of meditation is the one that obtained the object of God and the practical experience, which is to be obtained. That is to say, he is the one, who will be rejoicing as he himself is that entity of God. Such one, on which entity can he meditate further? The triad annihilated in him. The extract is that the necessity of performing meditation exhausted in him.

DOUBTS

1. Are you acting or living?

A. What is meant by acting? What is meant by living? Let us verify.

Let us suppose that Subbarao assumed the character of a king in a stage play. Actually, he is not the king. He is Subbarao. Having possessed the awareness of ‘He is Subbarao’ in the inner heart, he is acting the roll of the king. That itself is the acting.

Acting is not necessary to Subbarao to live as Subbarao. He is possessing only the awareness of ‘He is Subbarao’ in the inner heart. He is acting only the roll of Subbarao in the external. That itself will be said as living. In the ‘action’, he is different from the roll he is acting. In ‘living’, he is acting his own roll. In the action, there does not remain the identity with the body. In living, there remains identity with the body. The wise man acts. The ignorant lives.

MY TIDINGS

What is needed for the manifestation of the God?

Generally, all the aspirants will have been waiting for the manifestation of the God. But, they don’t possess accurate apprehension on the topic how it will be got.

Three factors are prerequisite for the manifestation of the God.

1. We should become utmost beloved ones to the God. Viz. we should live as God desires and approves. We should perform such deeds that God likes. Viz. it doesn’t mean the performance of the activities such as wandering around the temples, roaming on pilgrimage, offering the foods in a large quantity, dedicating the bundles of money; performing worships, anointings, fastings, bhajans, vows, and dedications, the activities of servitude of mankind like constructing of schools, choultries, temples, digging of wells, ponds and so on. In the above mentioned activities beloved to God and intended for the welfare of the mankind, there remains possibility to roll the faults such as doership, motivation, impression of name and fame, egoism, pride and envy. To become extremely beloved ones to the God, we ought to become extremely righteous ones at first. We should possess sever vows towards the restraints like truthful ness, non-violence, non-stealing, non-acceptance, celibacy and so forth. Having abandoned the thought of selfishness, being utmost righteous ones, we should behave towards the parents, wife, Children, servants, relations, friends, society and regarding the occupation, wealth, objects name and fame and so on. Then only, devoid of requisition itself, God arrives himself and assists us during the period of troubles. We can become most beloved to the God inevitably.

So many eminent devotees of India like Tukaram, Ghora, Sakkubhai, Ramadas, Prahlada, are the exemplars for this.

The second chief factor needed to the manifestation of the God is the annihilation of the accumulated sin. The very moment the accumulated sin remains without remainder itself is the auspicious time for the manifestation of the God. Even though the individual leads extremely righteous life as above expounded, so long as the result of the sin of accumulation remains last, the obtainment of the manifestation of the God should not take place.

God will be waiting with sorrow for the occasion of the annihilation of your accumulated sin to make you favour with a vision. There by every aspirant should essentially make an effort for the annihilation of the sin of accumulation. What is to be done for that? Japa (uttering the name of the God in repetition) should be done. One should be performing itself the Japa constantly as a line of oil. This itself can be considered as the single minded devotion.

The third chief factor needed to the manifestation of the God is the dispassion towards the objective pleasures of the material world. Your attachment should be cent percent desirous of visiting the God only. When your attachment remains last even for a little percent on the worldly objects, it should be considered as not having cent percent attachment on the God. Isn’t it? There fore cent percent dispassion on the enjoyment of the material world is required.

The text is that only when the righteousness, devotion and dispassion all these three establish, the manifestation of the God can happen.

Here one thing is to be noticed that if the devotion is of duality, God will appear with name and form (in the desired form). Having acquired the knowledge of the Self, if the practiser performs the practice of non dual devotion, the formless manifestation will be got. Viz. the direct experience of Ahambrahmasmi will happen. That it self is the final salvation. That is to say, in the personal manifestation there remains no salvation.
