ETERNAL SAYINGS

Worshiping the body of the preceptor is ignorance. Following the exhortations of the preceptor is wisdom.

Exposition: - By worshiping the deities virtue obtains. The sin of accumulation dissolves. Having diminished the influence of the Rajas and Tamas, having arisen the purity of mind, one can become deserving for the obtainment of the knowledge. The grace of the deities befalls. Through the favour of the deities only, the essential knowledge needed to obtain the salvation will be rendered to you. Lord Siva, Lord Vishnu, and the Goddess Amma will never instruct you the spiritual knowledge in person. In the past births, as the practisers prayed and prayed the God in anguish to bestow the knowledge, God will be sending the realised souls of the previous kalpas on to the earth as real preceptors, in order to instruct the spiritual knowledge to the practisers.

But unfortunately the ignorant practisers are not realising that in order to instruct the knowledge to them only the preceptors who are the realised souls are incarnated on the earth. Just as the worship of the deities, they are worshiping such preceptors as well as their idols also. Through anointing, worships, adorations, Bhajans, Japas and meditations having wasted the time in ignorance, they are losing their opportunity bestowed by the God for the acquirement of knowledge as well as for the constant practice of salvation. They are wasting their human birth. They are not able to realise that the preceptors shower their highest affection only on the disciples, who follow their exhortations than on the ones, who adore their body and also they assist such disciples only for their spiritual raise up. The preceptor, who is desirous of his body to be adored, is undeserving for the position of the preceptor itself.

If your son, who is a student of tenth class spends his time in worshiping his mathematics teacher, using the worshiping material like coconuts, perfumed sticks, consecrated bread; in performing Bhajans on his name and renounces his practice of mathematics, can you tolerate? Can he pass the exam of tenth class?

Adoring the body of the preceptor is ignorance. In putting his exhortations into practice itself, there remains the substantial knowledge. That itself is the real devotion to the preceptor and real adoration of the preceptor. Such one himself is the real disciple, real aspirant. Such aspirant only can become deserving for the benignity of the preceptor and can obtain final deliverance. A Sadguru (real preceptor will never desire that his body should be adored.) (he is not the body. he is the all pervading consciousness. Isn’t it? )

Though the preceptor wishes earnestly to raise up his disciple, he cannot lift such a one for his very life, who performs servitude to his master pressing his feet. He can raise up such disciples only, who follow his exhortations, having assimilated, clearing his doubts arose in his observance time to time, assisting him to sustain himself in his absorbed contemplation of Brahman and can make him attain the dominion of salvation.

The master may have how great love and affection on the disciple, how can he make a student raise up, who stopped his education at fifth class level? If the student is practicing higher education, the master can assist him, having exhorted and clearing his doubts in that stage itself. If the student is practicing still and still higher education, the master can assist him rendering exhortations and clearing his doubts at that stage itself. The text is that unto which level of higher education can the student practice, he can receive that level of higher assistance from the master. The extract to be noticed is that to make a disciple a perfect scholar, merely the benignity of the preceptor is not enough at all. The highest constant practice of the disciple is also indispensible.

DOUBTS

Does the wise man possess the state of sleep?

Ans. The wise man (Jnani) doesn’t possess the state of sleep. The wise man means he is of the seventh stage of wisdom. Viz. the state of Tureeyam. The state of Tureeyam means the state which transcends the state of wakened, dream and deep sleep. So the wise man doesn’t possess the states of weakened, dream and deep sleep. Hence the wise man doesn’t possess deep sleep.

When the consciousness of Brahman remains merely in the identity of the causal body, it is said as the state of deep sleep. To the wise man the causal body itself doesn’t remain. All the three qualities of Tamas, Rajas, and Sattva are annihilated. Further to the Wiseman the identity with the body will never arise. His consciousness of Brahman called Jiva always remains absorbed itself in the all pervading Brahman, having lost its own existence. By reason thereof, since he himself does remain being all pervading consciousness, since his causal body does remain annihilated, since the identity with the body doesn’t arise forever, to the one who is a wise man there doesn’t be the state of deep sleep. The wise man is not the body. He is the all pervading consciousness, disconnected with the body. There do not be the states of wakened, sleep or dream to the consciousness. Isn’t it? But the above elucidated such state is of seventh stage of wisdom. But in the seventh stage the body doesn’t possess even awareness. It will be just as an inert stick.

Here the term ‘Wiseman’ refers the one, who awakens from the seventh stage and gets faced external and continuous in the state of Bhavamukha. To the Wiseman, who remains in the state of Bhavamukha the Avidya or the causal body remains merely name sake in order to experience the predestination. By reason thereof, there is possibility to arise the state of sleep for name sake. When their egoism remains identified with the all pervading consciousness viz. when they face internal, they appear as the sleeping ones.

MY TIDINGS

What is to do for the extinction of the sin of accumulation?

Ans. Every aspirant will be desirous of prosperity in the spirituality. The chief cause to break down the spiritual progress is the sin of accumulation. By the result of the sin of accumulation, which is being amassed and followed from crores of kalpas, Jiva will be traveling downwards. In order to ascend Jiva, the sin of accumulation should be annihilating. The destructing power of the sin of accumulation (Sanchitam) is merely the virtue only. The important part of the Indian traditions and ancient ethics is nothing but the paths of acquiring virtue only in order to destruct the sin.

Intending to acquire virtue and to annihilate the accumulated sin, the activities beloved to God such as pilgrimages, visiting the temples, worships, vows, fasting, anointing, perusal, sacred study, austerity and sacrifices; and the activities beneficial to mankind such as constructing of temples, choultries, hospitals and schools, digging of wells and ponds, servitude to mankind in several ways are enjoined in the righteousness of Hinduism, which is the ancient one. Therefore, it is certain to annihilate the accumulated sin through them. The annihilation of the accumulated sin is indispensible in order to view the God, as well as to attain the manifestation of the Self. The very moment the accumulated sin remains devoid of reminder itself is the auspicious time for viewing the God, as well as for the manifestation of the God.

If so, to the practisers of mechanical life of the present age of kali, is there so much of capability, possibility and availability of time to exert to make the sin of accumulation annihilate?
Let us verify some easy ways to make the sin of accumulation annihilate.

1. To the aspirants, who perform the practice of constant identity with Brahman, having acquired the knowledge of the Self thoroughly, no other particular practice is needed for the extinction of the sin of accumulation. To the one, who lives in the spirit of I am Brahman, the virtue will be adding into the accumulation abundantly (will be pouring with trucks). The sin will be being made to annihilate so rapidly as in the way the rubbish is made to burn adding petrol. For the annihilation of the sin of accumulation, no other means does exist in the creation itself other than this.

2. To the people, who are not endowed with the knowledge of the Self, the second foremost means of annihilation of the accumulated sin is the uttering the charm of Gayatri in repetition (performance of the Japa of Gayatri). If the aspirants have attained the investiture with the sacred thread, being the brahmins, their mind should be performing the Japa of Gayatri as a line of oil day and nights, though their body is remaining involved in any daily routine activities. Next to the constant identity with Brahman, the foremost means of annihilation of the sin of accumulation in the creation is the Japa of Gayatri itself.

3. To the people other than brahmins, who are not entitled and who have no chance for the initiation of Gayatri, the ‘Tarakamanthra’ (the charm of the God Rama) is a highly powerful one, which is equal to the charm of Gayatri in annihilating the sin of accumulation. Having got the initiation of ‘Tarakamantra’ either from the competent preceptors or from great sages, by performing japa constantly as a line of oil, the sin of accumulation can burn rapidly.

4. Having got initiation from the competent preceptors either the charms of Panchakshari (charm of the God Siva consisting of five mystic syllables), ‘Astakshari’ (charm of God Vishnu consisting of eight mystic syllables) and ‘Dwadasakshari’ (charm of the Lord Krishna consisting of twelve mystic syllables) or the charms of other deities, by performing Japa as a line of oil constantly also the sin of accumulation can extinct.

5. The people, who do not have chance for the initiation of any charm, need not regret. Devoid of the discrimination of caste, creed, religion, and sex, even they are young or old, even under any circumstances, by uttering the spell (name) of Sree Rama continuously as a line of oil, the sin of accumulation can annihilate quickly. The spell of ‘Rama’ is similar to eminent charm.

The practisers have to notice a chief factor. By performing innumerable Japa of any charm, enumerated above, having ceased the counting, abundant result can befall.
